DEA MATE Act Training Requirements:
The Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requires new or renewing DEA Licensees to complete 8 hours of addiction continuing education.

The required 8 hours can be satisfied through a combination of courses or activities.

8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ earned upon course completion, including completion of the course survey.

Completion of this course also fulfills LARA's requirement for three hours in the area of pain and symptom management including the new on-time license requirement for opioids and other controlled substances awareness training standards for prescribers and dispensers of controlled substances, and the one hour minimum of controlled substance prescribing.
